Fun with Underwater Pictures

We got a marine housing for our digital camera for when we go scuba diving on our cruise. Being the goofy people we can be we tested it in the hot tub and got some cool pics. When I get the rest of them posted I'll post a link on this blog.

Alan

Scheduled some Scuba Dives

I spent the day researching scuba places and tours to take during our cruise. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to go to port in Cozumel since hurricane Wilma left it in shambles. I called Royal Caribbean and they said that although they should be allowing ships to dock in Cozumel by then, the number of ships that can dock is limited and they don't know for sure if ours will be one of those allowed to dock. :(

Anyway we have set a reservation for Alan to take a discover scuba class in Cozumel so that he can do some shallow dives with me. The place that we are going through is called "Scuba with Alison", I've been emailing her and she says that I can do some deeper dives since I'm certified and some shallow dives with Alan after he takes the discover course. I'm really excited for this vacation. I love to Dive; I just wish we got the opportunity to dive more in Kansas. Cheney Lake really
doesn't captivate me as a dive location.

If we don't dock in Cozumel I found a place for us to dive in Costa Maya as well. So, no matter what happens I am going to get to share the scuba experience with Alan. I think he is going to love it!!!

15 days until Joanne is 20+10!!!

I don't know if I'm really all that excited to be 30. I even avoid saying 30 by calling it twenty-ten. I just can't believe how fast 30 years went by. When I was a child I thought 30 was old. LOL

Well, with age has come my battle with weight. I never thought I'd have this battle. For those that didn't know me when I was younger, I was always the skinny girl in the group. After this past year with my back surgery and multiple steroid prescriptions I reached 218. (Ouch) So, on November 1st I started the Nutri-system diet. As of this morning I've lost 13 pounds!!! Soon, I'll look and feel like I'm 20.

I've also been doing RCIA. The process has really moved Alan and I to discuss and question our lives, beliefs and morals. Right now I'm trying to pick a saint for my confirmation. If anyone has a suggestion I could use it because there are too many to pick just one.

Well, that is enough for now!

We're going on a cruise!!

Yes, we're going on a cruise. We realized we've been together for almost 5 years and have never been out of the state of Kansas or Missouri together. So, we're going on a cruise.

We head out of Galveston on December 10 (yes, that's my birthday :) woo hoo) They we'll be a full day at sea. The next day we'll be in Cozymel. Where plan to do a little scuba diving. Hopefully Wilma left enough of it there for us to enjoy. Then the next day we're at Costa Maya. There we want to go see some Mayan ruins. Where else to see Mayan ruins than in Costa Maya? Then one more day at sea and the last day we dock.

It should be fun. There's certainly plenty to do on the boat. We can even work on our golf swing in their simulated driving range.

Fun Fun!!

Getting started

I'm trying this out to keep everyone updated as to what Joanne and I are up to. Don't expect a lot of writing in here. Hopefully I'll keep it updated regularly. I'll try to do a better job about posting pictures too.

Blog to you all later.
